B2B Trade Show Banners

I designed these two trade show banners for a presentation assignment in my Business-To-Business Marketing class. In this assignment, we were given to marketing campaign themes to build a strategy around. Theme 1 (Brew Bold) is focused on focused on improving profit margins, generating repeat customers, and building brand strength among veterans and outdoor enthusiasts. Meanwhile, Theme 2 (Big Mission) is focused on building values-based partnerships and highlighting community storytelling.
The banner for Theme 1 uses the “Brew Bold. Build Loyalty.” slogan and features outdoors imagery to emphasize the rugged appeal of Black Rifle’s brand. The banner also highlights the key targets for this theme and centers Black Rifle’s products as the one of the main features of a potential Business-To-Business partnership.
The banner for Theme 2 uses more modern design sensibilities like bold colors and angular shapes to appeal to the younger sales reps this campaign is targeting. Additionally, this design uses imagery of handshakes to help emphasize the importance of communication and partner values to Black Rifle’s business model which will help attract sales reps that are looking for flexibility in their business partnerships.
Web Magazine Design

These designs are from a larger web magazine project which I made in InDesign. Photo editing and composition were the main challenges of this project as I had to carefully balance the use of eye-catching photos and informative text. As shown above, I experimented with overlapping the text and shapes to give the images depth without making the text elements unreadable. Another aspect of this project was that I had to design a unique logo for this mock-up of a cooking magazine. If you look closely at the ‘Chews’ logo you’ll notice that there’s a silhouette of a cut mushroom in the ‘C’ and the top ends of the letters create the outline of a bowl shape.
